Our guide was Dennis Smith (yes - appropriate last name). Although he had only been working for NatHab for a little over a year, he had been a guide since 2011 in Botswana (where he was born). He was very proud of his country, and it showed in his high energy, incredible knowledge of the wildlife, and tracking skills. He called us "Team" and often would say "Come on Team, let's do this...". When he would ask you a question or point out a photo to shoot, he would respond "Good Job" in a booming voice. He was one of the best parts of the trip. He shared his personal experiences both of the Okavango delta and his life in general. He is truly an amazing person. Nancy suggested we gift him some night vision googles during the trip, and he was like a little kid. "I can wait to go out with my daughters and check these out" -- he really loves his job. If you are interested in his full bio, it is posted here.

Our group was a total of 6 people (in the picture is one of the local guides Fabio next to Dennis). From left to right, there is Bob and Cathy from Colorado, Ann and Kathy from Houston (and of course us). They were all extremely respectful of everyone else and very interesting in both their professional and personal lives. We think it is fair to say, we made some new friends and as expected from our other NatHab trips the people we travelled with are exceptional individuals.
